Regarding this cemetery, according to the Giffen Family Genealogy, on November 19, 1923, the Ohio County Commissioners agreed "To assume perpetual care of said property in its present state, and to keep and maintain the same in a neat and sightly condition, and not to disturb the graves now located on said property."
